Asus introduced the Asus p565. The computer manufacturer, which is mainly known for its popular Eee PC netbook line, now takes a further step on the market for business phones. In Taipei, the company announced the fastest business PDA phone in the world running on an 800MHz processor and featuring Asus’ latest touch-driven user interface, called Glide. According to Asus graphic and system performances have Vsbenchmark scores nearly two times that of other PDA’s in the market.
The fast performance enables the Asus P565 to ‘glide’ through resource intensive applications. That makes the PDA phone suitable for business people, the main audience Asus wants to target. The Glide feature also enables users to switch rapidly between single task without hassle.
Features of the Asus P565. The PDA is designed around a 800MHz processor and a touch-responsive user interface showing all applications on a 2.8-inch display. Asus especially highlights the high resolution screen, which makes photos, business documents and spreadsheets looking crisper and more true to life. The P565 also comes with classic business features such as push mail, business card recognition, MS Office Mobile, weather reports, calendars or Anytime Launcher.
Asus also has turned its attention to the design of the P565. While the front features a ‘high gloss face’ the battery lid at the back is made of synthetic leather giving the PDA a balanced and worthy sensation. The talk time is – by the way – about 3 hours with 3G and 4 hours with 2G. It weighs in at just 120g.
